About this Course

The requirements of the Australian employee relations system are complex and often counter-intuitive creating a high degree of risk particularly for organisations operating across borders. Day-to-day people management throws up challenges for those on the front line and for those in HR whose job is to support them.

Using the employment lifecycle, this one day program addresses some of the most difficult areas of human resources in Australia including Award interpretation, managing performance, managing leave, dealing with complaints, grievances and investigations, understanding work health and safety requirements and designing locally based HR policies.

Utilising hands on activities and case studies, this program will assist participants to create more effective people management practices in their Australian operations and provide advice on how best to minimize your organisation’s risk.
