About this Course
Programme Overview:
The assessment will cover a range of skills and knowledge competencies required at the higher certificate basic level of food production and upon successfully meeting the passing criteria, the candidate will be awarded WSQ Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts (FB-HCT-09-1)

- Prepare Mise En Place 2
- Prepare Basic Western Stocks and Soups
- Prepare Western Foundation Sauces
- Prepare Pasta
- Prepare Cold Plates and Garnishes
- Prepare Sandwiches
- Prepare Basic Malay Desserts
- Prepare Pre-mix, Frozen and Bake-off Products
Entry Requirements
a) Minimum 3 years culinary experience in F&B industry
b) Possess leadership qualities; be artistic and disciplined
c) Be able to speak, read and write English, or possess a score of IELTS 4.5 / TOEFL 32-34 or Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4
d) High school diploma or minimum GCE N level with 3 credits
e) 18 years old and above
Important to Note:
a) The eligibility to go through AOP for this certificate will be strictly based on fulfilment of listed pre-requisites and approval of candidature by the Admission Board of At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy.
b) Enrolment is subjected to availability and incomplete application will not be processed.
c) The assessment is conducted in English and proficiency in the language is a requirement.
d) WSQ Qualification contents and assessment fees are subject to change.
Funding:
a. The candidates are eligible for WDA Programme Fee Grant (for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents) upon successful completion of the assessment
b. Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme 95% programme fee funding from WTS Scheme Eligible for:
i. All employed Singaporeans who are eligible for our WSQ Certificate Programmes.
ii. 35 years old and above
iii. Monthly income of not more than S$1,900
