Train The Trainer (TTT) Programme - Coaching Skills

  

About this Course

This course provides learners with the knowledge and tools to prepare for and conduct coaching that is appropriate to the task, trainees’ needs and learning styles.  The course will cover the communication process, and ways to build rapport with, motivate and provide feedback to trainees. Learners will be required to prepare a coaching activity plan and demonstrating it in class.

The following areas will be covered: 

  • Develop coaching materials
  • Prepare for coaching
  • Conduct coaching
  • Assess skill performance of learners
  • Provide feedback and corrective measures on learner’s performance
  • Evaluate effectiveness of coaching
  • Assessment (Participants are required to sit for a practical assessment and a 1 hour written test.)

Who Should Attend

Supervisors, coaches, trainers and anyone whose job scope involves training. It is recommended that participants attend the ‘Planning and Implementing OJT or Plan and Implement OJT’ course first.

Admission Guidelines

Participants are to have at least a Grade C6 in English at the GCE 'O' level to be able to benefit from the course.

Certification

Participants will be awarded with the Industry Trainer Module Certificate if they satisfy at least 80% of the attendance and pass the assessment at the end of the course.

Duration

25.5 hours (4 days; 9.00am to 5.00pm and 9.00am to 4.30 pm on last day)
