About this Course
Confined space entry presents a myriad of concerns, including pre-entry evaluation of the space, atmospheric and physical hazards during the entry and finally rescue procedures in the event of an emergency. The number of fatalities involving confined spaces is staggering, especially when considering that in many confined space accidents, the rescuer may be the second victim. From 2007 to 2010, confined space accidents in Singapore have already accounts for 13 deaths. Employers must ensure that confined space entry is conducted in a legally compliant manner, under the direction of a competent person. Jointly developed with the WSH Institute, with the support of WSH Council, this SDU-accredited workshop is specially designed for WSH trainers as part of the WSH Train-the trainers (T3) Programme.
