Producing Your Best Year-End Concert

About this Course

The end of the year concert takes on a major role in early childhood education. It showcases the organisation’s professionalism and teachers’ creativity. For the children it is an opportunity to perform with their peers in front of their parents and an accumulation of their learning experiences and growing confidence. A memorable concert item presents a clear communication of ideas and the value system of the performing arts.

Course Objectives

This exciting 12 hour professional development course taps on the resourcefulness, imagination and creativity of teachers. It introduces the process of choreography and systematic and thematic planning. During the workshop there is a focus on dance as a holistic part of the curriculum, and learning by doing. As teachers will perform in dance themselves it provides hands-on engagement and reflection to make the end-of the year concert an extraordinary experience.
