About this Course

To equip participants with the fundamentals in English grammar to enable them to speak more fluently and write with greater accuracy. Offered from Levels 1 to 10, each level of the course is pitched at varying levels of complexity to suit the needs of course participants. 

The explanations and practice will guide participants on the essential features and structures of basic grammar, thereby allowing them opportunities to gain linguistic competence and communicative confidence when speaking and writing the English Language.

  • Parts of a Sentence - forming nouns, adverbs, adjectives, verbs
  • Forms of a Verb
  • Tenses including Present & Past Perfect Tenses
  • Modals – can, will, may, must, need to, ought to, should
  • Conditional Tenses (Present, Past and Past Perfect)
  • Phrases and Clauses
  • Sentence Structure – Simple, Complex & Compound
  • Joining Sentences – Conjunctions; Relative Pronouns
  • Active and Passive Voice
  • Punctuation – semi-colon, colon, hyphen & speech marks
  • Direct and Reported Speech

Certification

Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement upon attaining an attendance of at least 75%.
