To engage their teams successfully, managers must have the skills and abilities to manage the performance of their teams effectively.

OBJECTIVE/OUTCOME

The programme aims to equip managers with applicable skills, knowledge and techniques to manage performance effectively at the workplace such as the following:

  • Performance management concepts, including coaching and mentoring
  • Strategies and pitfalls to successful performance management
  • Performance management as a tool for motivation and improved productivity
  • Performance based appraisals and rewards, and how to deal with performance issues
  • Targeted case studies

COURSE OUTLINE

This workshop will identify the 3 pillars of effective communication in a coaching context – Recognition, Coaching Dialogue and Constructive Feedback. Different coaching models will also be discuss. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to relate to these 3 pillars and how they can be applied to the different functions of performance management to create a collaborative environment for effective coaching.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

A certificate of attendance will be issued to participants who have attended and completed the programme.
