About this Course

Under the WSH regulatory framework, risk management duties are imposed on every employer, self-employed person and principal (including contractor and sub-contractor). These parties must take all reasonably practicable measures to ensure that the workplace is safe to every person within its premises.

The revised code of practice on risk management was launched on 6 Feb 2015. The revised COP which was based on site observations and feedback by MOM and industry respectively will help companies better understand what risk management is and how to go about doing it. The effective implementation of the revised COP is expected to further reduce the risk of accidents at workplaces.

Objectives

This one-day course will provide the participants with an overview of the requirements in the revised Risk Management Code of Practice. They will also learn the method to devise risk control measures for their respective workplaces. The course will cover case study and practical hands-on session relating to their work activities.

By the end of the course, participants should :

• Be aware of the Risk Management Code of Practice requirements
  
• Understand the risk assessment process in regards to workplace safety
  
• Know how to implement risk control measures at workplace and be able to apply the knowledge learned in their work
