Post Course Support

The role does not end once the training is over! ITB believe providing first class support to the candidates by encouraging and reviewing the feedback received from clients. Supporting, encouraging and helping students through their learning program every step of the way from registration right through to certification. WE CARE, it’s as simple at that.

There will be a detailed analysis and feedback reports based on your employee’s experience of the learning program and support they receive from our staff. This allows ITB to discuss the results with you and look at ways to further improve the services to meet your specific needs

THIS PROGRAMME IS DESIGNED TO BE UTILISED BY:

Anyone who will carry out workplace coaching or one-to-one training in the workplace but specifically designed for discipline technicians who are involved in coaching to meet in-house competence standards.

WHAT THE TWO DAY LEARNING PROGRAMME WILL COVER

  • The context for effective workplace coaching
  • The process and content of effective workplace coaching
  • Preparing and delivering structured one-to-one training
  • How to plan and organise workplace coaching
  • How to conduct coaching sessions
  • How to use coaching to change Negative Beliefs
  • Understanding how important coaching / training is within your in-house Competence Management System

Delegates, following a series of explanations, demonstrations and opportunities to practise, will be assessed, during the training and be required to submit workplace evidence after the training, against the following assessment criteria:

Assessment Criteria

Element 1: Understanding good practice in workplace coaching

1.1 Describe the role and responsibilities of a workplace coach.

1.2 Explain the tools that can be used to support effective coaching.

1.3 Explain why it is important to maintain basic records of coaching in the workplace.

1.4 Recognise any potential barriers to coaching in the workplace.

Element 2: Understanding how people learn

2.1 Explain how people learn.

Element 3: Undertaking coaching in the workplace

3.1 Prepare and plan the coaching sessions.

3.2 Agree learning goals for the workplace coaching sessions.

3.3 Demonstrate coaching techniques of questioning and listening to effectively coach in the workplace.

3.4 Coach one or more individuals in the workplace over three coaching sessions.

3.5 Keep appropriate records of workplace coaching activity including progress towards goals.

CERTIFICATION AND RECORDING

A certificate will be issued to all delegates assessed as meeting the stated assessment criteria.

Certificates will contain the following information:

  • Course Title
  • Delegate's Name
  • Course Dates
  • Venue
  • Certification Date
  • Unique Certificate Number
  • Establishment Signatory

ITB Competence Assurance Ltd will keep electronic records of all delegates, from attendance to sign off.   Delegate status will be supplied to authorised personnel upon request.
