About this Course

At the end of the course, participants will be able to: • Analyse learner’s profile • Identify learner’s specific characteristic and needs • Prepare types of instructional materials • Interpret training blueprint • Prepare to conduct OJT • Understand the importance of OJT • Use training logistic checklists to prepare for OJT • Check training resources, facilities and environment suitable for training delivery • Prepare learning materials for use and/or distribution • Brief learners on information relating to the on-the-job training programme • Identify and address special needs of learners during on-the-job training • Address concerns and/or ask questions raised by learner • Establish a conducive learning environment • State learning outcomes for the session • Review previous lesson with learner • Conduct on-the-job training in accordance with training blueprint • Check learners’ understanding and encourage learners • Debrief learner during training session • Conduct end-of-course evaluation • Identify key concerns from learners’ feedback • Evaluate learner and training programme • Report and recommended improvements, feasibility and benefits of potential refinements to relevant stakeholder
