About this Course
Overview
Our MSc in Programme and Project Management is designed for those who wish to move into project management, either in their current technical and business field, or into a new field of expertise.
Participants on this course can have a very wide range of academic and work backgrounds. It is suitable for those with work experience as well as those with little or no background in business.
You will have the opportunity to work in a range of study facilities to develop practical skills and understand the link between the theory and practical implementation of projects and programmes, with a deep understanding of benefits and risks.
Often working on assessment and project briefs you will develop solutions to meet real world problems/requirements in project and programme management and be able to present these to your peers, practitioners and third parties in order to obtain balanced and current feedback.

WHAT WILL I LEARN
Upon programme completion, students in Msc in Programme and Project Management will be able to :
- Apply project management systems, tools, and methodologies in a wide range of contexts involving extensive supply chains and gain maximum benefits realisation.
- Work effectively within different types of team environments and manage and lead such teams in compliance with employment law.
- Exercise leadership in the administration of project contracts to achieve budgetary, schedule, benefits and quality targets with appropriate dispute avoidance/resolution strategies.
- Analyse risks and uncertainty affecting complex projects and programmes to arrive at sound decisions and judgements in the absence of complete data and communicate conclusions clearly and effectively to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
- Demonstrate understanding of the operation of major projects and programmes as temporary organisations and behaviour within such organisations and related competence in the design and implementation of organisation structures, strategies, systems and procedures for complex programmes not only across business sectors but also in the public sector.
- Demonstrate competence to develop new knowledge and problem-solving competence through research and to take responsibility for and organise not only your own learning but also that of teams.

Entry Requirement
Applicants with any of the following qualifications will be considered for admission:
- A minimum lower second class honours Bachelor’s degree.
- OR NQF Level 6 qualification.
- OR other equivalent qualification from recognised institutions
Applicants whose first language is not English or whose previous qualification was not taught and assessed in English must provide evidence of attainment in English Language by achieving an IELTS 6.5 or an equivalent qualification.
