COURSE OBJECTIVE
To provide Marine Scaffolders with knowledge and skills to erect, add, alter, maintain and dismantle various types of marine metal scaffolds in the shipyards.

· Roles and Responsibilities of a Marine Metal Scaffolder
· Various Types of Scaffolds and their Uses
· Preparation and Handling of Scaffold Materials
· Interpretation of Scaffold Working Drawings
· Requirements of Sound Metal Scaffolds
· Safety Precautions in Erecting and Dismantling Scaffolds
· Procedures for Erecting and Dismantling Scaffolds
· Maintaining and Altering Scaffolds
COURSE DURATION
48 hours (6 days)
· From 8.00 am to 5.00 pm
COURSE STRUCTURE
· Theory - 13 hours
· Practical - 29 hours
· Test/Assessment - 6 hours
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
· Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents or holders of valid Work Permits
· Able to read and write English
· Medically fit

CERTIFICATION
Participants who have successfully completed the course and pass the course test and assessment will be issued a Marine Metal Scaffold Erector Training Pass and a Certificate of Completion by ASMI.
REPLACEMENT
Replacement of participant is allowed if the substitute meets all entry requirements and request is made at least 3 working days before course commencement.
