About this Course

Introduction

This qualification is specifically designed for those intending to perform a range of advanced business calculations within a business environment. Taken with other LCCI business qualifications, it provides a suitable preparation for candidates intending to work at an advanced level in a business environment. The syllabus is also suitable for the student with a general interest in the

subject.

Duration:

16 lessons, 3 hours each

Total of 48 hours

Approximately 3.5 months

Objectives

The aims of this syllabus are to enable candidates to develop:

• A broad knowledge and understanding of advanced business calculations in relation to simple and compound interest, stock exchanges, business ownership, profitability and liquidity, investment appraisal, bankruptcy, depreciation of business assets

and index numbers

• The ability to apply this knowledge and understanding in a business situation

• A knowledge and understanding of related terminology

Admission Criteria

• Be at least 16 years old of age upon enrolment.

• Have at least 5 GCE ‘O’ Level.

• Proficiency in verbal English.

• LCCI Level 2 Business Calculations or equivalent

*If you are not within the above criteria and keen to sign up for the course, you are required to submit your academic qualification with a cover letter justifying. Your application will be assessed by the centre and we would advise you accordingly.

Assessment / Graduation Requirement:

This qualification is 100% examinable by LCCI. Candidates are required to clear the LCCI examination. Successful candidates will be awarded the level 3 Certificate in Advanced Business Calculations based on the achievement of the percentages and grades below.

• Pass 50%

• Merit 60%

• Distinction 75%

Class (Face-To-Face)

Class size will be kept to size of 6 - 10 students to ensure holistic learning.
