About this Course

Objectives

This course is designed to train drivers who are involved in the transportation and handling of hazardous materials. At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

·      Explain the 9 classes of hazardous substances and their identification

·      Explain the purpose and legislation requirements on the Hazardous Materials Transport Drivers

·      Explain the roles and responsibilities of drivers in an emergency

·      Explain the basic principles on the chemistry of fire and be able to operate a fire extinguisher effectively.

This course is meant for Hazardous Materials Transport Drivers involved in the transportation and handling of hazardous materials.
