About this Course

The ES WSQ Chinese Workplace Literacy (Foundation) programme is designed to equip participants with basic chinese language proficiency to facilitate effective communication in both work as well as social settings.

KLC International Institute is among the few institutions in Singapore appointed as a Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centre partner by WDA to offer this programme.

Course Objectives

This course will equip you with the necessary level of proficiency in the Chinese Language to use Mandarin in both work and social settings. The course will guide you toward developing both conversational and written skills in the language.

Foundation -> Beginner Level 1 & 2 -> Intermediate Level 3 & 4 -> Advanced Level 5

Award of Certificate

Upon successful completion of both course and assessment tests, and a minimum of 80% attendance, students will be issued with a WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) certificate.

Admission Requirements

Students who have had little or no background in the Chinese Language are encouraged to start from the Foundation Course. No pre-course placement test is required for enrollment to the Foundation Course.

Students who had prior knowledge of the Chinese Language or have studied Chinese Language beyond Primary 3 will be required to sit for a pre-course placement test administered by KLCII to determine placement to a suitable course level that matches his/her current language ability.
