About this Course

The Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education Teaching (DECCE-T) course aims to equip trainees with conceptualised knowledge on child development and early childhood education. This course teaches trainees to be skilful and competent in using various observational strategies; interpreting data; design and planning of learning environment; development and implementation of early-years curriculum and to be a reflective practitioner. Besides, the course facilitates trainees understanding in their own professional growth and development, the use of environmental resources and their role as an early childhood practitioner. This course facilitates trainees teaching placement in combining theory into practice.
