About this Course

This unit addresses the skills and knowledge required to ensure that people management/human capital strategies are aligned to the needs of the business.  It covers people management/human capital participation in the development of organisational strategy, as well as managing broader consultative processes within the organisation

1. Represent the people management/human capital function in organisation strategy development

  • Analyse trends relating to the management and development of people management/human capital services that have the potential to impact on the organisation and its priorities
  • Present strategies for responding to people management/human capital issues to senior management for support and buy-in
  • Define people management/human capital function’s contribution to key organisation measures

2. Manage consultation with business partners

  • Consult with stakeholders to gather inputs for people management/human capital strategies and clarify expectations
  • Support people management/human capital team in consulting with stakeholders to establish priorities for the development of people management/human capital services
  • Document stakeholder expectations to clarify the requirements regarding people management/human capital strategies
