About this Course

At the end of the course, participants will be able to: • Identify the learning outcomes of an on-the-job training programme based on a given set of competency standard and other relevant documents • Identify the skills, knowledge and attributes to be acquired in the training programme • Identify areas where contextualisation is required to meet organisational and individual’s needs • Identify instructional and assessment methods to be applied in the training programme • Gather information required for design, development and contextualisation of a training programme from relevant stakeholders • Use appropriate methods to gather information and data • Determine factors affecting an on-the-job training programme • Outline the content for an on-the-job training programme to meet learning outcomes • Design an on-the-job training programme based on relevant adult learning principles • Document appropriate assessment methods and assessment tools to be used • Review the outline and content of an on-the-job training programme with stakeholders • Develop on-the-job training materials in accordance with agreed design • Use appropriate style, format and language that meet the needs of the target audience • Develop on-the-job training materials in accordance with ethical and legal requirements • Obtain approval from stakeholders in the development process • Review and obtain feedback from stakeholders on the training programme • Evaluate feedback to enhance the quality of the training programme • Use appropriate mechanism to track and control revisions to the training programme/materials • Obtain final approval of the training programme from stakeholders • Review and update training programme regularly
