About this Course

The course helps participants become creative and effective in pedagogy training with emphasis on increased student performance and achievement. They will learn how to analyse, manage and improve children’s behaviours and attitudes towards schoolwork and learning responsibilities. They will be taught the different degrees of cognitive and social emotional skills of children between 5 to 16 years old as well as be equipped with strategies on sharing effective and standard feedbacks to children with learning disabilities. Participants are given equal opportunities to learn from hands-on activities like role plays, small group activities, teaching exercises, case studies, etc.

Aim :

Develop and deliver lessons that increase children’s learning performances and achievements

Participants will :
  • Learn how a student’s cognitive skills; behaviour and attitude towards schoolwork; learning techniques; and social-emotional skills affect performance as an individual
  • Learn how to design activities and curriculum to enhance the various aspects above.

Course Duration :

8 weeks on a part-time study for 4 hours per session. Sessions include classroom discussions/participation, hands-on training activities and peer teaching practice.

Admission Criteria :

  • Minimum 3 “O” levels with credit in English
  • Any other recognised Certification, Diploma or Degree
