About this Course

This course is designed for students to understand the role administration in the enterprise level. This topic will bring students one step closer to the role of sports managers and their challenges faced. Students will also get to experience the ways of administrative duties are conducted to achieve goals.

COURSE GOALS

The purpose of this course is to demonstrate to the prospective sport manager the importance of a basic understanding of theory and practice. The course will help students understand the sport manager’s position and the environment in which he or she must perform.

At the end of this course, students should be able to do the following:

• Discuss the significant management theory contributions of an organization Articulate the tasks and roles of effective management in an organization
  
• Identify appropriate managerial and leadership styles for various situations
  
• Discuss the factors and skills associated with effective management
  
• Discuss the need for ethical standards in management
  
• Explain the major functions of the management process
  
• Describe the types of control processes for financial management of an organization
  
• Discuss the benefits of implementing a strategic planning session
  
• Identify the foundational leaders of modern management List external and internal constraints that affect management
  
• Be aware of the critical problems faced by managers today and in the past.
  
• Gain an appreciation for management’s legal, ethical and social responsibilities
  

AWARD

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded:

Certificate in Sports Administration by the United States Sports Academy, ‘America’s Sports University”.

COURSE DURATION 

The course may be completed in 8weeks (40 hours) .

Assessment Methods

Students will sit for a written examination at the end of each module.
