Certificate in Specialized Logistics Module Synopsis Cold Chain Logistics This module discusses the local and international regulatory requirements, standards and practices of handling, storage and transportation of different food and pharmaceutical products. Students will learn tools for the implementation and monitoring of cold chain quality. Topics include Food Safety, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and their implementation in cold chain management will be discussed. Projects and Events Logistics This module provides students with knowledge on managing turnkey projects involving oversize cargo and heavy lifts. Students will acquire the skills to plan and ensure safe loading, stowage, securing and care of these cargoes. The Events Logistics component allows students to understand the site survey and analysis, transportation and handling of exhibits up to the event site, dismantling, documentation, custom clearance, re-packing and exports. Chemical Logistics This module equips students with knowledge of logistics practices in the chemical industry, and the transportation, handling and storage of dangerous goods. This module consists of seven independent chapters, which cover different areas of managing chemicals and their hazard. Guided tutorials, audio visual aids such as videos and Audio Video Interleave files, quizzes, assignments and a project will be used to reinforce the theoretical aspects.
