About this Course

WORK WITHIN A LEGAL AND REGULATORY FRAMEWORK IN THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY This module equips the trainees, pharmacy support workers, with the skills and knowledge to understand the need for protection of patients' rights and interests. This module also equips trainees with an understanding of their roles and responsibilities as a pharmacy support worker. At the end of module, trainees should be able identify roles and areas of responsibility of a pharmacy support worker, the confidential and restrictive covenants with employer and with patients, understanding the hospital’s liabilities to patients when healthcare personnel does not perform work according to his job roles and responsibilities, applying understanding of the healthcare worker’s legal rights and responsibilities under the statutory and legal context, and recognising, responding to and protecting the patients’ rights and interests.
