About this Course

Course Aim

The Work-At-Heights (WAH) Course for workers is aimed at providing individuals with the requisite WAH knowledge so that they can perform their WAH activities properly and safely. It is a mandatory course for individuals who are assigned to carry out work at height in the workplace.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify relevant Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislation / approved code of practice / Singapore standards applicable to WAH and roles and responsibilities.
  • Identify WAH hazards and preventive measures related to WAH
  • Demonstrate the understanding on use and care for the various fall arrest systems and equipment

Target Audience

The course would be appropriate for individuals assigned to work at heights in the workplace.

Assumed skills and knowledge

  • Participants are assumed to have the following:
  • Workplace literacy and numeracy Level 2 or equivalent
  • Relevant industrial experience

Course Duration

6 hours and 1.5 hours of assessment

Maximum class size : 20 trainees

Theory Lesson: 1 : 20

Practical Lesson: 1:10

Theory Assessment: 1:20
