About this Course

Main Target Audience

Workers and Personnel who are required to work at heights. The participants will be taught the hazards and the safe work practices of working at heights. If there is a risk of falling from any height when working, that is working at height.

Open to all foreigners and locals.

Potential Target Audience

1. Existing workers, tradesmen, operators, who are currently working and required to work at height.
2. Working persons in any industry who wishes to switch their job scope to works that involve working at height. Industries where employees are retrenched or motivated to leave their current jobs.
3. Students who are currently studying in a related field that involves working at height. Future workers, tradesmen, operators in their own industry like petrochemical, marine, logistics, transportation, maintenance, building, construction, process, shipyard, utilities, etc.

Course Overview

At the end of the course, participants will acquire good knowledge in:

• IDENTIFY RELEVANT WORKPLACE SAFETY & HEALTH (WSH) LEGISLATIONS / APPROVED CODES OF PRACTICE / SINGAPORE STANDARDS APPLICABLE TO WAH AND ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• IDENTIFY WAH HAZARDS AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES RELATED TO WAH
• DEMONSTRATE THE UNDERSTANDING OF USE AND CARE FOR THE VARIOUS FALL ARREST SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT

Teacher: Student Ratio is 1:20

Course Duration

7.5 hours, including 1.5 hours of assessment

Assessment

There will be practical assessment and written assessment.

Certification

Results will be released 2 weeks after course ends. A Certificate of Achievement and a Safety Pass will be issued to all participants after the release of results.
