About this Course

A Computer or Network Attack can be defined as any actions directed against a computer system which the attacker aims to disrupt operation of equipment, make changes of processing control, or corrupt stored data in the computer system. In the current age of technology, more computer users connect their computer to the internet to navigate and communicate with the rest of the world, which increases the chance of computer attacks.

Some of the computer attacks can corrupt the data on the computer, while other attacks can steal data from the computer system, more serious attack can cause entire network to shut down. The aim of this workshop is to equip participants with the basic knowledge to identify the types of computer attacks and the countermeasures that can be put in place to minimise them.

  • Learn various types of countermeasures at different phases of Computer Attacks
