About this Course

This unit addresses the skills and knowledge required to provide support to organisational events. It covers the planning, implementation and closeout of a range of events and activities.

Learning Outcomes

1. Participate in event planning and setup

  • Identify costs and resource requirements associated with event, including any special requirements of participants, for review by the event manager
  • Develop a detailed action plan, including contingency plans, for review by the event manager
  • Participate in set up of event and equipment as identified in the action plans

2. Conduct Promotional Activities

  • Develop a communication and engagement plan to generate publicity and interest in the event using appropriate communication channels
  • Conduct communication and engagement activities in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Track responses for the event and recommend follow up actions if required

3. Follow Up With Post Event Activities

  • Assist in the implementation of event activities
  • Gather feedback and complete event close-out activities
  • Report on success of events to appropriate supervisors and event managers and complete an event report
