About this Course

The competency unit, “Solve Problems and Make Decisions at Operations Level”, is one of the operational competency units under the Analytical, Conceptual and Evaluative (ACE) Skills competency category. The ACE Skills competency category aims to develop the ability to generate feasible, efficient and innovative solutions to solve work problems, enhance productivity and capitalise on new opportunities. On completion of this unit, learners will acquire the techniques in problem-solving and decision-making, including proactively identifying root causes to a problem, generating and evaluating alternative solutions, making appropriate decisions, and taking responsibility for the decisions within their own circle of influence.
