About this Course
COURSE OBJECTIVE
To provide participants with basic safety knowledge of working in shipyards including potential hazards and safe practices at work as well as workers’ basic legal employment rights.

COURSE DURATION
7 hours (1 day)
· From 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
COURSE STRUCTURE
· Theory - 7 hours
· Test - 1 hour
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
· Able to read and write English
· Workers must have arrived in Singapore for not more than 2 weeks

RE-CERTIFICATION TEST
· Re-certification Test is available for eligible applicants approved by MOM to take re-certification test without attending training course.
· Re-certification Test Fee: $10.00 per pax ($10.70 inclusive of 7% GST)
CERTIFICATION
· Participants who have successfully completed the course and pass the course test will be issued with a Safety Instruction Course (SIC) for Shipyard Workers (General Trade) Training Pass by ASMI.
· Participants who passed the Re-certification test will be issued a SIC Pass.
REPLACEMENT
Replacement of participant is allowed if the substitute meets all entry requirements and the request is made at least 3 working days before course commencement.
