About this Course

The programme trains and equips dental surgery assistants with skills and knowledge to work alongside the dental surgeon as an integral part of the dental team. At the end of the course, participants should be able to:  Assist the dental surgeon at the chair side during the provision of dental treatment  Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment in the dental clinic  Provide reception and administrative support for the dental clinic  Perform simple laboratory tasks and assist in dental radiography  Co-ordinate all aspects of supporting services to the dental surgeon (eg co-ordination of laboratory procedures, supplies etc)
