About this Course
Portfolio, Programme and Project Office (P3O) management focuses on best practice guidance to successfully establish, develop and maintain (or in some cases re-energise) appropriate support structure that will: Inform senior management decision making on prioritisation, risk management and deployment of resources across the organisation to successfully deliver their business objectives through portfolio management; Identify and realise outcomes and benefits via programmes and projects; Deliver programmes and projects within constraints of time, cost, quality and other organisational constraints and The P3O model will provide a focal point for defining a balanced portfolio of change and ensuring consistent delivery of programmes and projects across an organisation or a department. Having completed the course, the participant will be able to: Document why a P3O is needed, and justify it through the Business Case; Decide the P3O model required, based on the maturity of the organisation; Re-energise an existing P3O using the recommended models; Establish the tools and techniques to support a P3O; Conduct a P3M3 maturity review as the basis for a P3O establishment; Establish the tools and techniques to support a P3O; Establish the roles and responsibilities for the P3O staff; and Establish appropriate functions and services that match the organisations requirements.
