Managing A Multi Generational WorkForce

About this Course

With the current business landscape facing problems such as an aging workforce and young workers having different expectations in the workplace, this program will educate and stimulate positive interaction among your people across generations. It will also dramatically reduce workplace conflict and provide managers and supervisors with strategies for dealing with recruiting, retaining, and motivating your workforce, using the generational differences in a positive way.

Learn the differences across generations and how a proactive human resource and coaching solution can pre-empt current problems from the varied generational perspective. The conflicts are real.  But how can future-orientated organizations use these as areas for learning and growth rather than be negatively affected by them.

One method is to apply management techniques to motivate staff despite their differences. Quick Tip

Before allocating any team project, be mindful of the selection of the members. If you are the team leader, after collaborations and considerations, make it explicit how the communications and products will be delivered etc. Across generations there are different preferences, if you leave it up to their own choice, there will be tension and misunderstanding. A leader must be mindful of diversity (age, gender, culture) and provide direction from the start.
