About this Course

This unit covers on the knowledge of the different types of indoor air quality one may encounter in the workplace – the types of contaminants in the air we breathe and their sources. The module will also cover on ventilation issues and comfort indicators from these contaminants; learning how to use appropriate sampling instruments to take sampling and their sampling points. They will also know about control measures to be adopted, cleaning devices and the types of airborne diseases that one may be exposed to. Students will learn how to implement plans on management of indoor air quality in a facility, raising occupants’ awareness and educate them on the importance of IAQ, carrying out regular maintenance and audits.
