About this Course

Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, the participants would be familiar with their roles and responsibilities as Lifting Supervisors, the legal requirement of lifting operations, and the preventive measures to be taken to ensure that lifting operations are carried out safely.
For Whom:
Personnel who could be appointed as Lifting Supervisor as required under the law
Course Content:

  • Requirement of the WSH Act and Regulation concerning Lifting equipment
  • Roles and Duties of Lifting Supervisor
  • Safe use of Mobile Cranes (Part 1 and 2) 
  • Safe use of Tower Cranes and MOM's requirements on Tower cranes
  • Safe use of other Lifting Machines
  • Rigging equipment Rigging of loads
  • Coordination in the use of Lifting Machines
  • Investigations into Crane accidents and case studies

27hrs + 2hrs (Exam)
