About this Course

Introduction

This qualification develops the candidates’ ability to use a computerised accounting system to set up company information and make journal and ledger entries, carry out stock control processes and process routine payments and receipts.

This qualification is suitable for people who work or intend to work in an accounting role which requires the computerised processing of daily accounting transactions. 

Duration:

16 lessons, 3 hours each

Total of 48 hours

Approximately 2 months

Objectives

The aim of the qualification is to develop candidates' competence in using computerised accounting software to produce accurate, professional and well-presented accounting information employing an appropriate range of accounting procedures:

• Setting up yearly company data and making journal and ledger entries

• Processing routine payments and receipts

• Producing appropriate accounting reports for management purposes.

Admission Criteria

• Be at least 16 years old of age upon enrolment.

• Have at least 5 GCE ‘O’ Level.

• Proficiency in verbal English.

• LCCI Level 2 Book Keeping and Accounts or equivalent

*If you are not within the above criteria and keen to sign up for the course, you are required to submit your academic qualification with a cover letter justifying. Your application will be assessed by the centre and we would advise you accordingly.

Class (Face-To-Face)

Class size will be kept to size of 6 - 10 students to ensure holistic learning.

3. Carry out stock control processes using a computerised system

Assessment / Mark Allocation

This qualification is 100% examinable. Candidates’ performance is assessed by checking the generated reports and documents for errors. Grades are determined by the types and number of errors occurring in candidates’ work.
