About this Course

COURSE DETAILS

This course is designed for those who have a beauty therapy background and knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. The art of Reflexology carries the knowledge and experience of thousands of years’ development and practice of Chinese Philosophies. You will be introduced to the five energy concepts and meridians of the body, the underlining history and philosophy of Reflexology, reflex areas in the foot and their connection to the body’s systems, pressure-point massage and the contraindications.

175 hours (Theory and Practical)

Course Duration 

English/Chinese (Part-Time) :  4 months  – 2 days per week x 5 hours per day

Entry Requirements

• 16 years old and above

• Lower Secondary, GCE “N” level, GCE “O” level, Certificate level

Course Syllabus

Unit 1 Anatomy & Physiology

Understand the structure and function of each organ – Skeletal System – Muscular System – The Cells – The Skin – Vascular System – Lymphatic System – Nervous System – Endocrine System – Reproductive System – Digestive System – Urinary System

Unit 4 Reflexology

History of Reflexology – The concept of reflex zones on the feet and hands – Understand the term integral biology – Study the structure of the feet, ankles and lower legs – the structure of the hands, wrists and lower arms

Unit 22 Professional Conduct & Business Awareness

First Aid – Salon Safety – Hygiene & Sterilization – Client Handling – Business Legislation – Marketing & Advertising

The course is delivered by a well qualified trainer in a classroom and salon environment

Examination Requirements 

Candidates must have 75% attendance in order to take the examination

Must obtain at least 60% to pass the exam
