About this Course

This is to further develop your existing professional skill. Understanding the importance of enhancing thecirculation of our lymphatic system helps to bring about better well-being of an individual. The knowledge servesto alleviate discomfort due to fluid accumulation, poor elimination and excessive waste build up in the body.

Content

• Knowledge of the structure and function of the lymphatic system

• Location of the lymph nodes

• Know the main vessels of the head and neck

• Interrelationship between blood and lymph and the importance of homeostasis

• Common diseases and disorders of the lymphatic system

• Holistic Approach and Consultation

• Recognise contra-indications to lymphatic drainage massage

• Lymphatic Drainage Massage movements

• Importance of Hygiene

• Knowledge of other complementary therapies

• Aftercare advice to clients

All products are provided during the training. 

Classroom based training.

Examinations

• Must attain attendance of at least 75%.

• In-House Examinations

• ITEC International Examinations

(must pass all 2 Units to receive the diploma)

1. Unit 8.1 Lymphatic Drainage Theory (30 minutes)

2. Unit 8.2 Lymphatic Drainage Massage Practical (45 minutes)

Case Study 3 Clients at 3 different occasions

Requirement

Mini. Age18 years

Mini Entrance Level ‘N’ Level

Candidates must hold

a. The ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage, or

b. The ITEC Level 3 Body Treatments, including

c. The ITEC Level 2 unit in Professional Conduct and Business Awareness, or

d. Their equivalents. 

Duration 50 hours

Full Time: 1 Month Part Time: 2 Months
