About this Course

One of the main goals of ISO/TS 16949:2009 is to achieve sustainable improvement in product quality and customer satisfaction through continued improvement and defect prevention. To ensure such goal is achieved, auditing the Quality Management Systems is one effective way to ascertain it. In additional, as part of the Sanctioned Interpretation (SI 5 06) adopted in December 2006 by IATF, it is now a requirement for organizations to perform 2nd party audit on their suppliers on the yearly basis as part of the fulfillment for Supplier QMS Development Program requirements. Thus, the competency of the 2nd party auditors will play a pivotal role in determining the success and effectiveness of the Program. This course is specially developed to accommodate and align the unique methodology used by the automotive industries in planning, documenting and implementing their ISO/TS 16949:2009 Quality Management System. This unique methodology is Business Process Approach. This Training is conducted by a SMMT IF (Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders, Industry Forum, UK) Approved Trainer, using the latest accelerated learning process couple with realistic case studies and examples, to accelerate the learning process of the participants. The participants shall learn from the experts how to deploy the powerful Process Approach methodology from the planning phase to the closing out of the audit findings. In addition, technical aspects of the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) shall be covered to ensure participants are able to audit these technical areas effectively and confidently. The materials cover in this training is identical to the ISO/TS 16949:2009 Lead Auditor Training for the certification bodies. NOTE: Candidates that pass the stringent written exam and performance assessments will receive a certificate from SMMT, the IATF approved Oversight Office in the UK.
