About this Course
This intensive one day course will introduce industry personnel to the principles of the Diving System and equipment assurance requirements and processes. It covers a comprehensive 'snap shot' review of IMCA diving assurance
guidelines and requirements such as when and how the assurance process should be carried out, how to prepare for and what to expect during the assurance process.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
To enable delegates to gain an understanding of the dive system and diving equipment assurance processes including procedures associated with the suite of IMCA documents for diving operations. To enable project managers, project engineers, vessel masters, chief engineers, HSE managers, HSE advisors, dive technicians, dive supervisors, quality assurance personnel, client and contractor personnel involved with offshore diving operations to be aware of the requirements and the maintenance of the diving system assurance process.
COURSE CONTENT
KBA are the leading diving system auditing service provider having audited more than 400 systems over the last 9 years. The course will 'pull on' this experience and while classroom based, there will be real life experienced 'Case Studies' with regards to surface air diving, saturation diving and Mobile Portable Diving system assurances. The course is interactive and will involve group discussions and break out work groups. Delegates will gain a clear understanding of the diving system assurance process.

- What does the assurance process consist of? Is it solely an audit of the equipment or more?
- What are the benefits of implementing the diving system assurance process :- in house, third party, prior to project commencing and post project completion.
- Who conducts the assurance and when?
- The Role of the Assurance Team; Planning & Preparation for the assurance process; Certification and Planned Maintenance Systems requirements; Diving System Assurance Protocols – IMCA Documentation and supporting guidance requirements; Where does the FEMA and FMECA of diving systems fit into the assurance process.
- Understanding the diving system assurance report findings operations.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Delegates should be involved in the commercial diving industry and be involved with the diving procedures, equipment / quality / safety requirements within their organisation.
ASSESSMENT
Upon successful course completion and passing a multiple choice test / assessment, delegates will be awarded with an KBA Training Centre certificate of training entitled “An Introduction to the process of DIVING SYSTEM ASSURANCE”.
