The Advanced Diploma in Business System Development provides students with strong academic knowledge and skills in system software development which includes analysis, design, documentation, implementation, and program testing. The course has been developed to meet the professional and academic needs of graduates of the International Diploma in Information Technology and Communication in order that they may have a common knowledge of the software development tools that will be used to support their works.
Programme Module Synopsis :
Business Analysis Essentials
The module is designed to be both practical and participative. A theoretical background is provided but the emphasis of the business analysis training is on a realistic case study, based on a genuine consultancy assignment, on which the participants work. An overall structure is offered that includes an explanation and application of a range of business analysis skills, including a practical approach to business improvement.
Computer Architecture And Data Communication
This unit gives an overview of computer hardware data communication and networking technology. Discrete Mathematics This module develops the mathematics needed to underpin the computing modules.
Networks And The Internet
The goal of this introductory module is to help students cope with the revolution by providing a conceptual understanding of standard technologies used today in networking for computer communications. This module is structured along the lines of the four layers Arpanet communication architecture: Application, Transport, Network and Physical.
Project Management Techniques
This unit covers the factors to be considered and the tasks involved in managing computer projects, together with the cost, time and labour factors involved in steering projects through the system life cycle.
Software Engineering
This unit will cover the principles of software engineering, software life cycle, formal methods and software quality assurance techniques.
Systems Design And Architecture
