About this Course

The course is designed to meet all the required standards set out in the Dangerous Goods Regulations for personnel whose duties correspond to the key categories 1, 3 and 6 that have been laid out in the Training Curricula Table 1.5A of the current edition of the Dangerous Goods Regulations. At the end of the course, participants will be able to:  Use the Dangerous Goods Regulations Manual as a source of reference for the handling of dangerous goods accurately and correctly  Know the legal aspects and the responsibilities of the shipper/agents and airlines involved with the transport of dangerous goods  Identify and classify dangerous goods according to hazards.  Verify using a checklist that the Dangerous Goods are correctly and properly packed, marked, labeled and documented (DGD and AWB) by the shippers, agents, and/or airlines before acceptance for air carriage.  Handle the Dangerous goods properly by applying the mandatory rules and regulations  Update on changes made in current edition of the Dangerous Goods Regulations.
