Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Fundamentals

About this Course

This geometric dimensioning and tolerance training presents fundamental concepts of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing according to ANSI Y14.5 M-1994 Standard, this “hands-on” course teaches students how to properly apply the principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to manufacturing and inspection processes. Students will inspect various parts using proper quality control methods.

By the end of this geometric dimensioning & tolerance training course of study, you should be able to:

  • Apply the principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Understand and explain the advantages and complexity of GD&T
  • Apply appropriate tolerances to specified objects
  • Properly inspect parts using standard inspection equipment and applying proper quality control methods
