Employee Recruitment and Interview

About this Course

One of the factors that contribute to organisational success is ‘people’ talent. Acquiring the right talent ensures that an organisation’s business goals and objectives are realised. Recruitment is an important tool for Human Resource professionals who are responsible for acquiring the right talent.    When recruitment is ineffective, an organisation cannot be assured that the right talent is hired. The recruitment function incorporates several sub-functions. Interviewing and assessing candidates are two of them.

Conducting interviews effectively can result in selection of the right candidates for an organisation. It is necessary for Human Resource professionals to understand how to assess a candidate’s capabilities and ascertain a suitable match with the organisation’s requirement. Effective interviews provide sound and objective basis for recruitment decisions. Underpinning this is the knowledge of human behaviours, job knowledge, skills and competencies that a Human Resource professional must acquire.

This course provides knowledge on how to conduct effective recruitment and interviews to ensure effective selection of candidates. Amongst various knowledge and skills, participants learn how to develop criteria for selection to ensure suitable matches of candidates to organisational job requirements and identify behavioural traits that are consistent with organisational values.

In addition, the course will provide opportunities for participants to horn interview skills through role plays under different scenarios. Case studies on best practices will be showcased and highlighted to reinforce learning.
