About this Course

E-Type Training & Certification Objective 

The main objective of the course is to provide training in data entry operation along with an international certification in touch typing in association from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT – U.K. The training on e-type is imparted through a web hosted online courseware which is a great new way to learn to touch-type. This can earn an Internationally recognized qualification which has three grades namely BRONZE (20 WP M, 98% accuracy), SILVER (40WPM, 98% accuracy), GOLD (60WPM, 98% accuracy).

Target Audience:

Beginners and for those, who have used computers for years but are two fingers typists.

Career Paths:

Touch-typing skill, acquired from e-type, will last a life time, enabling you to use your computer keyboard more quickly and accurately. 

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT

Broadband Internet connection with minimum 128 Kbps SpeedFlash 9 or above installed (Flash 10 if Windows 2000 is used). (This can be downloaded free from the internet via www.adobe.com if necessary).

MS WINDOWS, COMPUTER BASICS

♦ Central Processing Units

♦ What is hard ware, what is Soft ware

♦ Windows short cut keys

GETTING STARTED WITH E-TYPE

♦ Introduction to e-type. Introduction to key board typing

♦ Getting familiar with key board, home keys

♦ Keyboard lessons, Starting with alphabets, Numbers and checking its speed and accuracy

♦ Keypad lessons, Punctuation course, Session 1- ! @ #,$ % ^,Session 2- & * ( ), Session 3- _: “/ = +,

♦ Advanced challenge, Speed challenge, Accuracy challenge

♦ Project- A project using key board type to provide Faster and more efficient computer use - At work or home.
