About this Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The award in facial electrical treatments is to enable candidates to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide facial electrical treatments.

RECOGNITION

Upon successful completion, graduates of this programme can be allocated to salons to work as facial electrotherapist.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course consists of 2 units with a total of 104 contact hours. Courses are delivered face to face.

Course Syllabus

Course Syllabus consist of 2 parts- Theory & Practical:

• Additional Portfolio Evidence
  
• Award in facial electrical range sheet
  
• Provide Facial Electrotherapy treatments. 
  
• 7 machine treatments: 2 High Frequency, 2 Galvanism, Vacuum Suction, Micro Current, and Faradism.
  

Course Structure & Duration

The course can be taken within a minimum period of 3 months for Part Time.

Full Time: 2 Months (104 Hours)

Monday - Friday: 10.30am–5.30pm

Part Time: 3 Months

Tuesday & Wednesday & Thursday: 7.00pm~10.00pm

Assessment and Examination

At the commencement of each module, students will be provided the assessment mode and weightings for the module.

Most modules have several points of assessment, which may include assignments, tests, and final examinations.

In-House Examinations: Theory 20 mins(MCQ) , Practical 30 mins 

CIBTAC Examinations : Theory 20 mins(MCQ) , Practical 30 mins

Entry Requirements

At least 16 years old and above 

• Secondary level or equivalent. 
  
• Proficiency in English or Chinese
  
• Cibtac Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Services or Equivalent
  

Graduation Requirements

Candidates must achieve the following requirements in order to graduate from the course:

• Must attend all lessons with minimum 100% attendance
  
• Must complete all portfolio evidence on the date given before examination
  
• Must score minimum of 60% in the theory examination
  
• Students who successfully complete the examination will be awarded with the (CIBTAC) Diploma by Confederation of International Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology, UK.
