About this Course

Course Objectives

This course teaches students how to create realistic simulated effects using only your imagination and the materials in your makeup kit. Students learn how to create and apply bald caps, perform old age makeup incorporating stretch and stipple techniques, facial hair, wounds and burns, various realistic looks such as frozen, dead, junkie, tired, as well as sunburns and all of the lifelike makeups that the student will need to create in the workplace. Demonstrations and lecture equip the student with professional techniques and terminology taught by our professional makeup artist Instructors.

Course Syllabus

  • Theory of old age makeup, old age stretch and stipple

  • Utilizing delaminated liquid rubber

  • Wrinkle application (paint)

  • Hair graying age marks (veins, liver spots, broken capillaries, neck and hand makeup

  • Construct rubber bald cap

  • Create natural hairline to lace hair piece application musrache, full beard, goatee, side burns

  • Combing technique for curling wool and real hair with hot iron

  • Cleaning and upkeep toupee

  • Create 2D & 3D injury techniques with gelatin effects and latex

  • 2nd Degree and 3rd Degree burn, cuts, scars, scratches, bruises, black eyes and broken noses

  • Wounds, scarring, acne, veining, and etc
