The Course

This course introduces you to the major topics, concepts, and theories comprising Psychology. You will gain a better understanding of human behaviour as well as important contributing cognitive processes and emotions.

This programme will benefit working professionals in human resource work, counsellors, teachers or whose job requires them to interact with others on a frequent basis.

Module 1: Principles of Psychology (24 hours)

  • Consciousness and Perception
  • Personality
  • Learning & Intelligence
  • Emotions & Motivation
  • Needs, drives and motivation

Module 2: Introduction to Psychology (24 hours)

  • Physiological Psychology
  • Cognitive Psychology
  • Introductory Research Methods

Course Duration

48 training hours (approx. 2 months)

Lessons are conducted twice a week

Assessment Methods

Candidates will be assessed through assignments, class participations and written examinations. Upon successful completion of the programme, candidates will be awarded the Certificate in Psychology issued by Atlantic Institute of Higher Learning.

Advancement

Graduates may proceed to the Advanced Certificate in Psychology programme.
