About this Course

Certificate in Materials Management Module Synopsis Materials Planning & Control The module aims to train students with the knowledge of managing material based on business plans of the company. Emphasis will be given to the recent advances in this field and the use of computer software for planning and scheduling. Graduates are expected to acquire the knowledge and confidence in making effective contribution in managing resources and material flow in an organization. International Purchasing Management This module equips students with purchasing and supply chain analysis and type of tools and techniques. Students will learn negotiation and coordination skills to work in cross functional team to interface with other areas of the company. They will also gain knowledge on worldwide sourcing which provides them the global perspective. Supply Chain Management Students are introduced to the critical concerns involved in the design, control, operation and management of supply chain systems. Various models and tools developed for supply chain management will also be covered. Students are taught simple techniques that can be used to analyze various aspects of the supply chain.
