It introduces: • Operating principle of typical plastic manufacturing processes used in the Medical Technology industries. • Injection moulding machine, plastic materials and environment requirements. • Injection moulding phases and process parameters that affect part quality. • Operating principles and elements of typical moulds. • Checking for mouldability and optimising process parameters with the aid of Filling Analysis. • Mould setup and setting process parameters. • Moulding defects – Causes and possible solutions.
