Introduction

The Applied Diploma in Aerospace Maintenance (ADAM) course is developed to meet the industry’s need for more non-certifying aerospace technicians.

Course Description

Applied Diploma in Aerospace Maintenance (ADAM) is developed to meet the industry’s need for more non-certifying aerospace technicians. It was contextualized to comply partially with the SAR-66 Category A syllabus prescribed by CAAS for Aircraft Maintenance Licensing. The contextualization also incorporates elements for WDA’s aviation-related Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) competency units in the programme. Applicants must meet the attendance requirement of 85% per module before they can sit for their examination.

Student – Lecturer Ratio

Theory:

The amount of student to lecturer ratio for theory does not exceed 1:32

Practical:

The amount of student to lecturer ratio for practical does not exceed 1:16

Learning And Teaching Methods

All classes will be a mix of lectures and practical skills training.

Mode of Delivery

Face-to-face, classroom-facilitated delivery of theory lessons

Practical training at ATTC’s practical laboratory and/or training workshop/hangar.

Student Assessment

ATTC courses are assessed by written examination and practical assessments

Admission Requirements

For Singaporeans or Singapore PR:

GCE ‘N’ Level with credit in English, Mathematics, Science [Combined Science, Physical Science, Physics, Science (Physics, Biology), Science (Physics, Chemistry)] OR Design and Technology

For Foreigners living outside Singapore:

Cambridge equivalent GCE ‘N’ Level with credit in English, Mathematics, Science [Combined Science, Physical Science, Physics, Science (Physics, Biology), Science (Physics, Chemistry)]OR Design and Technology

Graduation Requirements

Upon successful completion, the candidate will be awarded the “Applied Diploma in Aerospace Maintenance” issued by ATTC.

On completion of the full suite of Aerospace WSQ SOAs, the candidate will be awarded the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Higher Certificate in Aerospace Maintenance (Aircraft Maintenance – Mechanical) issued by Singapore Workforce Development Agency.

On completion of the first four units of the WSQ SOAs for Generic Module, the candidate will be awarded the Certified Operation Specialist certificate issued by Singapore Workforce Development Agency

Course Duration

Full-Time : 8 months

Part-Time: 1.5 years

Classes are conducted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the evening

(Practical skills training conducted on some Saturday)

Attendance Requirements

Applicants must achieve a minimum of 85% attendance for all individual modules
