Introduction

Airworthiness Administration (Workshop) (CAAS L12) course is a training course designed for persons working in aviation workshop and / or technical services environment.

Course Title

Airworthiness Administration (Workshop) (CAAS L12) course is a 3 days short course that meets the requirements of CAAS L12 basic papers.

ATTC is a CAAS approved training centre that conducts engineering courses for the aircraft maintenance personnel in accordance with Certificate of Approval Number MTO/002

Industry Need

This course is useful for persons working in aviation workshop, design and / or technical services environment. A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants at the end of the course.

Course Objectives

This is a 3 days short course that is meant to provide knowledge for the aviation legislation and regulation in the design / technical service with a focus in the workshop environment.

1. REGULATORY FRAMEWORK

Role of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)

Role of Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS)

Air Navigation Order

SAR, SAR-39, SAR-66, SAR-145

Airworthiness Notices, Advisory Circulars

Notices of Amendment, Information Circulars

2. AIR NAVIGATION ORDER (ANO)

Detailed knowledge and understanding of the ANO related to workshop certifying staff

3. SINGAPORE AIRWORTHINESS REQUIREMENTS (SAR)

Detailed knowledge and understanding of the SAR related to workshop certifying staff

4. SAR-145 – APPROVED MAINTENANCE ORGANISATIONS

Detailed knowledge and understanding of SAR-145 requirements

Requirements for approval of workshop certifying staff

Role and responsibilities of certifying staff

Use and completion of Form CAAS AW(95)/(96)

Purpose and use of the Exposition Document

5. AIRWORTHINESS NOTICES AND CIRCULARS (AN & AC)

Detailed knowledge and understanding of matters related to workshop certifying staff

Student – Lecturer Ratio

Theory:

The ratio of Lecturer to Students is 1:32 for theory classes.

Learning And Teaching Methods

All classes will be taught by lectures.

Student Assessment

ATTC courses are assessed by written mock test

Admission Requirements

Ability to communicate in spoken and written English is required.

Graduation Requirements

Upon successful completion of courses. Participants will be awarded the ‘Certificate of Attendance’ by Air Transport Training College

Course Duration

Short Course : 3 Days of Lectures (Approximately 18 hours) – 9.00am to 5.00pm
